The cage
I have been stuck in this cage
They dress me up to make me change
Thinking they’ll make me whole
But I dont share their taste at all.
Their ideas and their feelings of how I should be
The world is right outside but it isn’t for me to see
And although I am in this cage and my heart has a thorn
I can’t help but love them, for they are where I’m from.
How I wish I could let them know
But there is just no way for me to show
Them how I love them as long
As what I want to be is what they keep me from.
What is love? (by Abby Kaiser and Lena Nguyen Minh Tue)
Love is a shadow that slips through the door,
A whispered breath, yet it speaks of more.
It dances with passion
Like innovators with their fashion.
It sings in silence, almost unspoken
And can even leave you heartbroken.
It leaves no mark, but still it stays
Winding through hours, slipping through days.
You cannot grasp it, nor hold it near
But still it´s always here.
Listening to it like a song
Pulling you strong.
A riddle unraveled, a car without keys
Love is a question and time is its breeze.
It carries its answers and the quiet of the night
Fading with dawn, but never out of sight.
The world (by Erik Schöneck and Nikita Schwabe)
We evolved, evolved, evolved and evolved,
Until we thought our issues were resolved.
But once every equation was solved,
A broken world revolved.
There is no prize for perfection
Only an end to complextion.
In the pursuit of great
We left our world betrayed.
The places we used to be
My heart is not whole
It feels like there is a hole.
And it gets deeper and deeper everyday I have to live
Without you.
And when I try to seek comfort
In the places we used to be
I wonder
If you could just think as much about me.
I have to let go
But as I try to lock the door, the key falls on the floor.
So I leave it open, my heart
In case you might change your mind.
But I know,
You won´t.
